Manufactured shortage -- intentionally produce too few (which is apple's fault, not O2's) which maintains a buzz and makes people want them even more. Apple always does it, and it always works.

I might, but I think I'm getting to the stage where I can't be bothered with apple anymore. If it wasn't for the battery on my 3G lasting less than a day I wouldn't even bother changing phones. I can't replace the battery and I can't get a new one. Might b time to move on...

My husband has had his for a couple of weeks now. Although I love iPhones (I have the 4), the battery life on the 4s is appalling! Much worse than the 4 and the HTC I used to have! They are apparently working on a fix, but if this is your main reason for switching, I would say that you are likely to be disappointed.

Can you get one from the Apple retail hight street store or are they just for p.a.y.g ???


Like the Ipad2 they may have some in their stores as they would look stupid not having any. (resellers didn't have any in the early days)

Yes, you can get them from an Apple store for a contract phone - just swap your existing sim card, or call your phone company and order a micro sim if you haven't already got one.

The "Muppets" are the people who go into a feeding frenzy whenever a "new" version of a product is released and queue for hours or days to be the first to own. Then they enter into panic mode because they can't get their "fix". Wait until the fruity5 appears then buy a 4 for half the price!:p

I ordered one from Apple on 28/10 and it has been shipped today. Tesco have been out of stock for the last 2 weeks.

Personally, I don't think there is a lack of stock. I think they have been holding it back until they had a fix for the battery issue, which apparently is imminent (IOS5 update)
