Do you think it would be possible for me to live 2 months spending almost nothing?

I want a big lump sum for the end of this year story below.

I thought I wasn't going to get paid my first wage until 28th december when my job started, coz it started late. But I am actually getting paid 28th november. If I just spend £25 a week on food as intended (from money I have anyway) like originally intended. Do you think it would be possible to not touch my bank until 28th december.

I will then take the £200 (see other threads) out for the month december- jan.

I really want to save a nice sum by end of this year, is it doable?

Don't forget that Christmas is over that time period too, so parties, presents etc.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • When my Incapacity Benefit is decimated in the 2nd week of december i'll have to live for a significantly longer period than 2 months spending almost nothing.

£25 a week on food will be a luxury :)
  • Yes, but the fact that you are asking suggests that maybe you wont be able to keep to it.
  • Yes. But at the same time, you can also prove your suffertibility. You need get mentally prepared.;)

    Troofax.

    I've lived for a month on £20.

    ...

    Yep.

But I couldnt do that over Christmas. Unless you literally buy no one any presents, dont go out drinking ever, no outings at all, and practually no money spent on travel...?...yeh, you cant do it at this time period.

But in the future! Yes :)
  • Aye, 'tis a difficult time of year. I've scraped by on naff all before now but over Christmas? no chance...

If you have no bills to pay then it's doable.
