any food /eating deals, nice things to do in Durham Sunday, Monday/Tuesday. We intend to eat in Slug and Lettuce on Monday
half price day.
And while I think on, is it a walkable distance from bus station to Travelodge, bus, taxi
half price day.

I would say that it is at least a 15 minute walk from the Bus Station on North Road to the Travelodge, mostly uphill too.
There is a market on at the weekends in the Market Place.

There is also a Pizza Express, and i'm sure theres a voucher doing the rounds here somewhere for 2 for 1? Have a look on the restaurant vouchers board to be sure
If you've already booked the travellodge don't worry, it is only about a 15 minute walk from the centre, but if you haven't have you looked at the Premier Inn which is far closer to the centre?
In terms of things to do, Cathedral and Castle is a definite, and just have a look around the town as it is pretty but I can't think of much else (i've lived here for a month - it seems to be very student oriented)... There is the market on weekends. Also when are you coming, on the first weekend of December there is a Christmas festival which promises to be good.0
