Rules

1. The following rules ("Rules") together with Global Radio's ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") (which can be found at (http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions) apply to (with exception of rule 2.1) The Biggest Secret Santa radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 7th November to 25th November 2011 at midday ("the Duration"). The "Radio Station" is the Capital Network. The promoter is Global Radio Services Ltd, 30 Leicester Square, London, WC2H 7LA.
2. Anyone who participates in the Biggest Secret Santa Competition (a "Participant") will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
3. Entering
   1. To play the Biggest Secret Santa a Participant must go to www.facebook.com/capitalfm and click on 'The Biggest Secret Santa' tab on the left hand side of the page. Online entry will open on 7th November 2011 and close on 25th November 2011 at midday.
   2. Participants must allow access via the Facebook authorization pop up box and read and agree to the Terms and Conditions to be able to play. If Participants do not allow access or don't tick the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions then they will not be able to proceed.
4. Being 'Secret Santa'
   1. Facebook users (Participants) who allow the application access to their profile then have the opportunity to select seven (7) friends to whom they would like Capital to give a gift. These Participants will be referred to as 'Secret Santas'. The gift that each of the 7 chosen friends will receive will range from a selection of gifts grouped into 3 tiers: top, middle and lower tier. 'Secret Santas' can only select 7 people; they will not be able to proceed until the full 7 have been chosen.
   2. Secret Santas can have the opportunity to select a further 7 friends if they find and input a secret code which has been generated by Capital FM. There will be a field which will allow Secret Santas to enter the secret code and select another 7 friends to receive gifts. There will be 30 secret codes and they can be found on the following platforms:

5. 'Secret Santas' Recipients
   1. Facebook users who have been selected to receive a gift from their friends (Recipients) will be alerted by a notification for an application request on their Facebook page. By clicking this Recipients will see that they have been given a gift.
   2. Before clicking 'unwrap your gift', Recipients must read and agree to the terms and conditions. They have to allow access to the application via the Facebook authorization screen to proceed. Once accepted the Recipient will be able to view the gift they have been given, and will have the option to claim it. They in turn will have the opportunity to become Secret Santas and nominate 7 friends to be Recipients.
   3. Recipients will have 48 hours to open the notification and claim their gift. If the Recipient fails to claim their gift within the 48 hours it will return back to the pool and be redistributed.
   4. The promotion will end at midday on Friday 25th November 2011. After this time, Secret Santas will no longer be able to select friends to receive gifts. However, Recipients selected before this time will still have their 48 hours to claim their gift, even if this period ends after midday on 25th November 2011.
   5. If they have been given a top or medium tier gift Recipients will be asked to complete and submit a form, giving their address and / or other relevant information. The form will contain the email address connected to their Facebook account.
   6. Please note: It's really important that Recipients provide accurate information. The Radio Station is not responsible for any failure to receive a gift due to inaccurate information being provided. For security purposes, gifts will only be sent to the address/email address provided during the claim process.
6. Eligibility
   1. If a Recipient is not based in the United Kingdom they will not be able to claim their gift.
   2. If a Secret Santa is not based in the United Kingdom but they have chosen friends who are based in the United Kingdom to be Recipients, those Recipients based in the UK are eligible, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
   3. Members of staff, casual staff, contractors and freelancers for Global Radio, Microsoft and Holler may take part in the promotion as Secret Santas, but may not redeem any top or medium tier gifts allocated to them as Recipients. They are eligible to receive lower tier gifts.
   4. There is no age limit for participating. However if a Recipient is aged 14 or under, and their gift includes Capital Guest List tickets they will be required to have an adult 18 or over present. If a Recipient is given Snow Zone or Jingle Zone tickets and they are 16 and under, then they will need to be accompanied by an adult 18 and over.
7. Multiple Entries
   1. There is no limit on how many times a user maybe selected as a Recipient. However, once a Recipient has claimed one top tier gift, they will not be eligible to redeem any subsequent top tier gift, though they may still redeem middle and lower tier gifts.
8. Allocation
   1. At least once every 24 hours we will be giving away one top tier gift.
   2. Top tier and medium tier gifts will be spread out as equally as possible throughout the game using a metric based on the number of Recipients selected in a given period.
9. Gifts
   1. Top tier gifts consist of:
      • 1 pair of Jingle Bell Ball 'Snow Zone' tickets plus travel and accommodation for 2 people to the Saturday show on 3rd December
      • 1 pair of Jingle Bell Ball 'Snow Zone' tickets plus travel and accommodation for 2 people to the Sunday show on 4th December
      • 1 pair of Jingle Bell Ball 'Jingle Zone' tickets plus travel and accommodation for 2 people to the Saturday show on 3rd December
      • 1 pair of Jingle Bell Ball 'Jingle Zone' tickets plus travel and accommodation for 2 people to the Sunday show on 4th December
      • 15 x Xbox 360 4gb consoles with Kinect
      • 10 x Dell Inspiron 15R switch laptop
      • 13 x HTC Radar handset
      • 31 x Microsoft Office Home and Student suite
      • 8 x £500.00 Thomas Cook Vouchers
      • 30 x Xbox Kinect games (7 x Dance Central 2, 8 x Kinect Sports Season 2, 8 x Kinectimals, 7 x Kinect Disneyland Adventures)
      • 60 x Xbox live points cards loaded with 800 points
   2. Middle tier gifts consist of:
      • 20 x one pair Jingle Bell Ball 'Capital Guest list' Tickets for the Saturday 3rd December

      Please note: there is an unlimited number of lower tier gifts.
   4. The Snow Zone and Jingle Zone packages include, in addition to the pair of relevant tickets:
      • Return travel for two people to London, leaving on the morning of the Ball day (the Saturday or Sunday, depending on the gift won) and returning the following day (the Sunday or Monday accordingly)
      • Return transfers from the station to the hotel
      • Overnight accommodation at The London Hilton Docklands Riverside Hotel
      • Breakfast in the hotel in the morning after the relevant day of the Ball
      Travel is subject to availability at the discretion of the Radio Station. Travel will be by train. Hotel will be classed as 4 star and is based on two adults sharing a double or twin room with en suite bathroom on a bed and breakfast basis.
   5. The Radio Station will contact Recipients who have claimed Jingle Zone or Snow Zone package gifts within two working days of those gifts being claimed, in order to arrange travel and accommodation, and collection of the tickets. If the Radio Station cannot reach the claimants, they will leave messages and emails where possible. Claimants must return those messages and emails before midday on Wednesday 30th November, or their gift may be forfeit.
   6. The following gifts:

      • Microsoft Office Home and Student Suite
      • Signed Merchandise
      • Chart CDs
      • £500.00 Thomas Cook Vouchers
      • Xbox Kinect games (Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports Season 2, Kinectimals, Kinect Disneyland Adventures)
      • Xbox live points cards.
      will be sent to the Recipient at the address provided during the claim process by Recorded Delivery within 30 days of the Recipient claiming their gift.
   7. Middle tier tickets - Jingle Bell Ball Capital Guest List tickets claimed before midday Monday 21st November will be sent to the address provided by the Recipient by Recorded Delivery. Capital Guest List tickets claimed after midday 21st November will be held at the box office at the O2 arena, and must be collected by the Recipient claiming the gift. For security reasons, the Recipient must claim these tickets in person, and they must show a piece of photographic ID on collection. Failure to do so may result in disappointment.
   8. Other middle tier gifts: vouchers, Saturdays calendars, signed merchandise and chart CDs will be posted to the address provided during the claim process within 30 days of the gift being claimed. Vouchers will be sent to the email address connected to the Recipient’s Facebook account.
   9. DJ Shout Outs: Recipients who claim a DJ Shout Out gift will be asked to complete a form as part of the claim process. This form will be used by the Radio Station to draft a Shout Out, which will be broadcast between 7pm and 9pm during the Rich Clarke show Monday to Friday, no later than five working days after the Shout Out gift is claimed. The Radio Station reserves editorial control of the Shout Out, and will not include any language or content that the Radio Station considers to be unsuitable for broadcast.
   10. Lower tier gifts: digital gifts will be provided for instant download once the claim process has been completed.

Ditto, I receive the following invalid comment when submitting:

'Stream stories are restricted for this application.'

Yet it does appear to go through so hopefully the entries are submitting correctly.

I was told it was too late to claim my gift , although it had only been sent 7 hours earlier overnight!

I have left a query on the fb wall asking as to why it is presenting an error...will update if i get any reply.

Just to note though when the error box comes up it just tells me that its "unable to stream to friends walls" and then it does say that all 7 have been sent a gift - so i do think its working.

Mine are no longer being posted to my wall and i have to go into the Apps on the left hand side of my newsfeed to find any that people have sent me
