Nothing formal but more than pub fayre and definitely not a tourist trap. Perhaps somewhere we can get a half decent bottle of wine and hear each other talk.

Could be from Islington down to Waterloo but probably better in the centre.

Any ideas ?

Not sure if you're still looking, but a friend and I went to Portsmouth and found Tiger Tiger where we had lunch for £4 each. I noticed that they have one in Haymarket too. Might be worth a look.

Bookatable.com is great.. often get some really good discounts.. although depends what your looking for!

Little Sicily near Leicster Square currently does 3 courses for a tenner if you book through them.. been there twice before and AMAZING food.
