I've literally just posted about Christmas stuff in general so sorry for the spam but I thought this might gather more attention and help out someone who's thinking of doing a similar thing.
My little sister is 13 and as I'm very broke this Christmas, instead of giving her something, I thought of making her an IOU chequebook, but I'm kind of stuck for ideas as to what actually should go in it!

So far I have come up with:
- Blow-dry and style hair
- Manicure
- Take out for lunch
- Show an age-inappropriate film
- Provide tech support for a game (she plays loads)

My 17 year old daughter says the make up lesson is a good idea. If you drive perhaps you could offer a lift to somewhere. Popcorn to go with the film is cheap, you could buy her the kernals and help her cook it when you show the film. Tesco's sell it and so does Julian Graves. You can buy a big bag of kernals for very little and then all you need is a bit of oil and a heavy based saucepan.0

hi there, neat idea like it alot, my suggestions
evening teaching her craft of her choice
shopping trip
cupcake making session
play in big sisters wardrobe!
word of warning though, my brother did one for my dad on fathers day when he was about 7 (it had been on blue peter)....20 years later (yes 20) my dad wanted help knocking down a brick shed, neither of us wanted to help, so off my dad trots only to come back with said voucher booklet with yep, one voucher for "one days hard labour" signed by my gobsmacked brother.................so don't forget to put an expiry date on, you have been warned!
