Switching - £60 charge to remove meter?
Hi,
i made a post earlier this morning about my situation about switching suppliers.
I have just spoke to my current supplier (npower) who said that they would charge me £60 to remove my prepaid gas meter. Are they likely to charge me another £60 to remove my elec prepaid meter?
Is there anything i can do about this? £120 to remove my prepaid meters when ive done nothing wrong and they were fitted for free!
If i switch to another supplier, would they remove the meters so i can get my direct debit accounts setup again?
If anyone can provide any other useful info on the situation, it'd be appricated.
- npower
- gas and elec prepaid meters
- combined monthly cost of around £120 (think some of that was to repay debt owed)
- 3 bed semi
Thanks :money:

I changed from prepay meter to ordinary ones. I was with Scottish Power who were going to charge, but British Gas changed them for free. Don't know if this was because in a previous house I had used British gas before, so had a good history of paying.0
