hi everyone
i apologise if this has been posted allready i have had a confirmation e mail from bmi baby that they are charging the apd tax i am due to fly in 2 weeks and have to pay an extra 80 quid as there is 4 of us flying they are going to automatically going to take it from the card that paid for it

that seems a lot,...
you only pay the apd tax on the departure flight from uk if you are going abroad, not the return flight.
Increase from £10 to £20...so the charge should only be 4 x £10 extra0 -
The Chancellor, Gordon Brown, recently announced an increase in Air Passenger Duty (APD) on all flights leaving from UK airports. As a result tax on short-haul flights departing from the UK will rise from £5 to £10 per person (or local currency equivalent).
