Hi all,
I'm new to the site so thought I best share something with you all as way of a welcome gift, much like bringing a bottle of wine to a dinner party!
I've been looking into wedding venues with my friend who's recently got engaged and came across a competition that may be of interest to couples looking at getting married in Birmingham.
Basically you just have to like the Birmingham Botanical Gardens Facebook page and enter you details to be entered into a prize draw to win a £5000 wedding reception.
It closes on the 16th December so could make a lovely Christmas present for one lucky couple!
Have entered for my friend so fingers crossed!

wow, really? I am looking for somewhere in Birmingham to get married!
I can't find any details about the competition though - there doesn't seem to be anything on their website or on facebook?0 -

I got married at Berrow Court in Edgbaston and it was beautiful. Can highly recommend it as a wedding venue

The Facebook page is called Weddings at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens- I only found it by chance myself! You have to like the page and then click on a link to enter you name, phone number and email address. My friend went to have a look at the venue a few weeks ago and it's absolutely gorgeous, really pretty setting. She's desperate to win now!0

Hmmm. Not sure whether this is spam or not.
Perhaps you should post on the competitions board, or even the weddings board.0 -
There's a whole weddings board OP, you should perhaps post it there. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here - if you're a spammer please don't post it at all.
That said Brum Botanics are lovely, I'm tempted to apply even though I live nowhere near and I wasn't planning to get married anytime soon!0 -
Not a spammer- just new to this site and wasn't sure where to put it to be honest. Thought MSE was all about sharing offers and things and it's the only one I know about at the moment! Like I said, came across when researching Birmingham venues with my friend. Sorry if it came across as such.0

You post is counter productive then, because by telling this forum about it you're lowering her chances of actually winning, aren't you?.She's desperate to win now!
I was gonna call spam yesterday but held back.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Ok, sorry- I appear to have missed the point of this forum, is there a users guide you can point me in the direction in? Appear to be offending without trying!0 -
Found it eventually! Many thanks.0
