Hi All,
I've been based in a partcular office for other a year, have a permit to park in car park.
I ensured that I removed my permit and placed it in the vehicle I was given as a courtesy car and then when I got my own vehicle back placed the permit back on the windscreen, however it fell off. and I was clamped. I said that the permit was on the floor, and that I always park in the car park and always have a permit present in my vehicle, but they were having none of it. I paid £205 for the Clamping charge, PCN and then Card processing fee too!!? Could I get some advise on how to word my letter of appeal, ideally I want them return the monies (don't we all I know) but at least some considering the badge was present and the fact that I always have it in the vehicle on display!
Many Thanks in advance for you help...

You'll never get the money from the clampers. You need to contact the management company who employed them.
Ultimately you will probably have to sue both in county court.0 -

Welcome Nads85 to MSE!
Sorry about the clamp, but we and posters at https://www.pepipoo.com can help if you want to follow through?
Ok, so the only way you can get your money back is to take the clamping company, the clamper himself, and the people that hired them to County Court. This is not quite as hard as it might sound and posters will help you do just this.
Now, you have to sue the company that hired them, which is usually the management company acting of behalf of the freeholder, because the clamping company will ignore any CCJ's against them (we will check how many they already have if you decide to take this further) and have no assets anyway but the management company don't often realise that they are jointly liable and they often cave in before going to court and pay you your money back.
So, if you want to see this through start a new thread here - http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60
We will need to see a copy of your paperwork and the forum tells you how to post photo's and scans. Just remove your VRN and any other details you don't want anyone to know.
You have a case because you have a permit and, assuming that you showed it to the clamper, then he should have un-clamped your car. The lease between your company and the landlord/agent will say nothing about permits or if it does, it will not say anything about failure to display and therefore you probably have them banged to rights!
So, the call is yours?0 -
You could also explore doing a chargeback through your card company. They will say no but if you push long and hard enough and get to a manager it will help. When he says no ask for it in writing as you wish to go to the financial ombudsman. This will cost them £400 come what may so they have been known to fold.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Just noticed the OP said he had a been charged a 'card fee' so yes, they should start a charge back on their credit/debit card company/bank.
OP- Did you write 'Paid Under Duress' on the receipt?0
