Card Guard cancellation

I have read some other threads about 'credit card protection' and just cancelled the Direct Debit that was setup with CPP Card Guard as I don't want to pay £ 31 a year for that service anymore.
Is that all I need to do or do I have to let CPP know of my decision? Thanks

Firstly, are you sure it was a Direct Debit and not a Continuous Payment Authority?
Secondly, when you signed up you may have agreed that CPP could take the subscription from any of your cards that they are aware of at the time it becomes due.
The bottom line is that it would be a good idea for you to put your decision in writing and make sure they take notice! Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

cpp Payments are usually recurring payments so you really need to put it in writing and send it recorded delivery or they WILL keep debiting your account, even if you close the card!0
