Debt Free before the baby comes!!

Well we had a surprise visit form my aunt and uncle this weekend so spent alot more than we had planned to, wandering round the farmers market and at the pub!! ON the plus side though we have sold some tickets on ebay for a concert we can no longer attend so this covers the overspend and leaves us £100 to pay towards the nursery furniture. It wont be a NSD today as I didnt have time to make lunch as I was fixing the hem on my trousers (love bondaweb!). Tomorrow we will have to pay for hospital parking and scan pictures so that wont be and Wed i have to go to Kent for work, but any spends should be claimable on expenses (does that count as NSD?).
Pay day next week, so looking forward to updating my signature, it is going to be tight to be debt free by April when the baby arrives, current budgeting leaves me with about £400 overdraft with this being gone in May, but enough savings to cover my maternity pay. Think I will have to see what else we can ebay to reduce this!!Loan £19,728 £1,541 Virg £14,273.81 £8,228 @0% Barc £10,056 £0 NatW £3,682.73 £2,917 MBNA £9,624 £8,654 @0% Overdraft £3,500 £2,000Starting Jan 20 Total Debt £51,239 Mar 23 £23,341 DFD Jan 25 22mths to go Mortgage £248,011.94 £239,659 - MFD Nov 2047 Nov 2046 - LTV 66%EF £0/£300My diary{/URL}0 -

Well, on the countdown to payday on Wednesday. It was a reasonably cheap weekend, but not completely no spend. We went to see Imelda May on Say night (tickets paid for a while ago) and we managed to stick to our budget of £20 for drinks etc, I drove and out firends paid for the parking. I hate to think what OH's tab is at the pub in the village as I left him there and he rocked in in the early hours, but he has expenses due this week so can pay that himself. I also bought myself some new PJ's!! They were a bit pricy but will come out of my meagre savings, and I had none that fit me any more (my bump is expanding at a ridiculous rate at the moment), but I did think ahead as they are nursing PJ's so I can use them after the birth and not have to buy another set!:D
We had an early christams present so paid the voucher off our nursery furniture before we spent it on silly things, and have bought a bundle of baby clothes off ebay rather than buying more new stuff, so that was quite MSE:money:.
Today will be a NSD as I have made my lunch, we have stuff in for tea and then we are off to our first Antenatal calss tonight so that should be fun. Just starting the Christmas food shopping list so I can get an order in for just after pay day lets see if I can stick to budget on that;)Loan £19,728 £1,541 Virg £14,273.81 £8,228 @0% Barc £10,056 £0 NatW £3,682.73 £2,917 MBNA £9,624 £8,654 @0% Overdraft £3,500 £2,000Starting Jan 20 Total Debt £51,239 Mar 23 £23,341 DFD Jan 25 22mths to go Mortgage £248,011.94 £239,659 - MFD Nov 2047 Nov 2046 - LTV 66%EF £0/£300My diary{/URL}0 -
Glad to hear all OK. Well done for sticking to your budget.
How did the antenatal class go?
If I was to have anymore children (which we're not!!! just in case my OH see's this!!) then I would certainly have a look at ebay and the local paper for things. When I think of the stuff we've donated to charity shops and the like and there was never anthing wrong with any of it. As for clothes they grow out of them before they get chance to wear them out.
Let's getting those lists sorted!!xDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Not been on for a little whilst, never seems to be enough time in the run up to Christmas!! Well I have updated my signature and it is good to see £1500 off from last month:T
Waved Matt off for another week so spending should be minimal, we have everything for Xmas apart from a few presents and the turkey and veg. Then off to Kent for the weekend for my god daughters birthday. We have decided that we are happy to have 1 credit card with a balance remaining when the baby arrives, but no more than £1000:o this will still show anout £10k being paid off:j
