Hi, my friend was elling me at the weekend that you can now get a credit card which helps with your credit rating if you use it.
Is this true?
He seemed to think it was a credit card where you put cash on it? If this is right what card would do this?
thanks!

Sounds like the credit builder prepaid credit card - last resort if you can't get any subprime card (it costs £60 a year to have the card). If you can get a subprime credit card then this would be prefereable, as you can build your credit history without it costing you anything (assuming you pay in full each month).
Info on the credit builder here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cards/bad-credit-credit-cards#longterm but read the whole article as well http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cards/bad-credit-credit-cardsA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
