Thanks for this thread. I have been looking for extra storage for my DD's room as it has to be pink or girly and I have just found this one in Argos for £20!

Not saying don't buy Moggins but a friend bought the same one for her little girl and it snapped, maybe missuse of course, but the frame looks a little delicate. Just remembered Tescos have had some good storage things in my local Extra store lately, bought a lidded one for a few £ for the kids bathroom toys. Remembered when I was bathing them tonight.
Studio cards sometimes have good storage, I haven't checked the latest catalogue yet, http://www.springcatalogue.24studio.co.uk/page.asp?b=SpringSummer2007&p=50&o=1&link=menu but came across that page.
My racks are like this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/6106472.htmOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Sorry, not read this properly today as have been addicted to other threads!!! DD got beech (I think) units from Ikea with slot in plastic tubs - different sizes or add on (I think). DGSs store Thomas trains and various other stuff in them like books and dinosaurs, animals etc, and I think they are proving useful and don't cost too much. If you want me to find out more let me know and I will check with DD0

It's a good point Lil_me, we can get away with delicate though as she thinks she is a princess born in the wrong house! All her friends love to visit as she has a four poster bed with drapes and all her furniture has pink hearts for handles. Even her chair has a pink heart shaped back to it!
I claim no responsibility as my DD1 was a complete tomboy!

Can you post the name/description of the item because the Argos website says 'it has problems displaying this item' or words to that effect. You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:

Another one from ikea that sounds like the type of thing you are looking for.

We have the Trofast storage on the left hand side of the piccie that looks like steps. We have one in my son's bedroom and one under the stairs in the hall. They are brilliant. They are really sturdy pine so will last forever.
I've got 1 Trofast unit in my dd's room that is useful cos she uses as steps to get to her mid-sleeper bed cos she doesn't like the ladder!!
But if you have a lot of largish bulky awkwardly-shaped items (like this for example http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-40644) which my kids seem to have (being only 3.5yo & 2yo) the boxes that come with the unit have slanted sides rather than straight ones and I've found it difficult to put their toys in easily.
In the last couple of days I've reorganised their toys and found I already had enough storage boxes/etc once a few broken toys had been chucked and a few others set aside for the charity shop. The main thing I wanted to do was give enough space in a box/pop-up basket for the kids to be able to chuck the toys in themselves instead of me having to work out exactly how to do it so everything fitted in!! :wall: :wall: :wall: <- this is how it made me feel on a good day :eek:You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:

Stackable and only 79p. DP uses them in the shed and I use them for other things like cleaning stuff etc.
Thanks for this lil_me I think I might be getting some of these as they're sooooo cheaplil_me wrote:
