i like the idea of dh making one - but chances are slim due to busy job
Have a go yourself (I enlisted DH's help because my project was big and heavy). Just think how proud you'll be when everyone admires it!I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

My 2 little ones have Ikea Billy bookcases in their bedrooms. We bought plastic tubs from wilkos which sit quite nicely on the shelves - 2 on each shelf."all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0

I much prefer this one, still much cheaper than the £200 that your feared, and has boxes that fit the squares perfectly.

All my friends have them in their children's playrooms, they look very modern, and also come in different sizes.
I plan to get one soon, when my cash crisis ends!0 -
Do you have a poundland near you?
At the moment, they have loads of coloured plasic boxes with clip on lids in loads of colours, we are going to get some for my son to put individual games in that come with loads of parts so he can keep them together.
They are completly stackable, or you can build a casing very easily for them.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
counting pennies - we too have cash flow issues but feel this has potential to be life changing and have been debating it for ages - i can do some extra work to buy it too0

we had an old wardrobe which my other half put two mdf partitions in (so three vertical sections) then some battens to hold the trofast storage tubs from ikea, we have three of the deepest type, six of the medium and three of the shallow ones, stuff they need supervision with, like jigsaws, colouring stuff etc is at the top where I have to get it down, and their happyland, trains, dollies are at the bottom where they can get them out easily, I can also shut the doors on it all when they've finished!0

Thanks for all the ikea links - another one who finds their site hard to handle. House is completely overwhelmed by kids' toys so any storage ideas very useful!0
