Can the inland revenue look in to previously closed bank accounts?

I am in the process of delaring income for the last 3 years
Will bank accounts which have been closed show up during an investigation , I can not get details from my bank as I have no account data anymore and I'm not sure what figures where going through them .
Can the power that be access the data from that bank account ?

Data protection - 'subject access request' to the bank - if they hold any data on you, they can charge up to 10 quid to send you it all.0
