9 months on JSA, what happens from now on?

I was informed about 5 weeks ago that on my sign-on date in 6 weeks time there is going to be a change of some sort because of the time I have been on JSA (about 9 months). She said something about, from then on I will be meeting up with some people who are going to help find me a job. She said something like they can call me at any time and arrange a meet. It could be at a Costa Coffee or a group meeting somewhere. Memory is not too good so this is about as much as I can remember. Can anyone tell me what this is? Does it have a name? What does it involve? As much details as possible would be fantastic. I am 24 if this is of any relevance.

you are probably going to be refered onto the work programme. my local jobcentre told me 18 to 24 year olds get refered after 9 months unemployed. you will get refered to an outside provider. what they do with you can vary depending on the provider and area you are in. it is likely to be mainly regular appointments with an adviser, jobsearch, cv sessions etc. you may also do a short workplacement. you are with them for 2 years.
