I bought an item on Ebay which was listed as "New without Tags: A brand-new, unsed and unworn item not in origianl packaging..."
The item ( a sports bag ) stank to high heaven and I found used tissues and a dried apple core in the pockets.
I emailed the seller asking for him to paypal me the return postage and saying I was returning for a full refund. I did not tell the seller what I found in the pockets and he claimed it was new but I could return it.
I got a small payment to my paypal account. This was not as much as the seller paid to send it an it cost me more to send it back. The seller has since refunded me what he calls the balance. That is the cost of the item. I have not had the postage refunded. So far I am bearing the loss and yet the seller was deceitful.
I have tried opening a ebay dispute but I am getting errors on my ebay account (including some ebay stuff in foreign languages) and telling me I cnnot claim because I bought the item off the US site which I did not.
Please help. I am quite a bit out of pocket annd the seller is free to try to deceive the next buyer!

Thats what the feedback is for. Leave them appropriate to match your experience.
Short, Truthful and to the point.
Forcing them to refund return postage would be difficult.
I take it you have had the money back you paid initially item + p&p? But not the return postage cost?

But I asked the seller for the return postage and he agreed and paypaled it.
Later I got my refund by paypal minus the postage!
The seller had gone back on his word to pay the return postage and to give me a full refund.0 -
If he is a private seller he is not obliged to refund you your return postage irrespective of whether he told you he would, as unfair as this seems, all you can do is leave feedback to reflect the service you have experiencesAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
