Leapfrog Scout Baby Walker any reviews ?

I am seeing mixed opinions about a baby walkers good and bad comments. I dont want a walker that my DS will sit in and move around as he has a jumperoo and that takes up enough room. I was thinking of something that he can hold whilst learning to stand and push as he learns to toddle. I was first thinking of the Vtech first steps but having read a few comments about it having no brakes it made me wonder if it wouldnt be safe for the early steps. I came across the leapfrog scout walker which has only 3 reviews on argos and no reviews anyware else. This has brakes so I feel i could trust it a little more. I dont intend to leave my DS to stand on his own i just want to feel a bit more confidence. Has anyone got one of these, please be honest

I've never seen one of these before, but we love scout, so should be fun for your little one too.
But, neither of my boys used a walker to walk with. Cruising along the sofa was enough and when they go solo, the concentration needed to push a walker too could be too much. If you really want him to have something to push, get one of those wooden push ones with blocks. That will get used for a long time, they love pushing things around.
We had a jumparoo, aren't they fab?:wall:0 -
thanks for your reply its just that gran parents are trying to find christmas pressies. One is getting a smart trike so other wanted to get something for indoors. DS has lots of hand toys and we have bought him a garage and cars so we were thinking of something to get him moving. He likes music and grabbing and touching things so I thought these interactive walkers are quite interesting.0

I'd go for the wooden thing with blocks in. If he wants to cruise, he can. If he wants to play, he can. If he gets a bit older and wants to stick the family pet in there, he probably will! Growing up we had one and we used to put each other in there....and used it to cart out stuff when we were 'running away'** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.

thanks for your feedback maybe I could look at a rideon/walker instead like the Vtech push and ride train, then he can sit on it as well.
