Modern Warfare 3 & Asda Direct

Hi guys,

This is my first post although I view the forums and site frequently so I hope this is in the right section.

I ordered MW3 from Asda Direct last month and they took payment for it, which is what they do apparently rather than taking payment on dispatch.

Anyway, I got my order confirmation and payment was taken. For those who have been living under a rock, MW3 is being released on Tuesday so I logged in a couple of days ago to check the order progress in hope that it'd be delivered on day of release, like every other site, and it said Back Order, so I emailed them. They responded today saying it's out of stock and I can either cancel or wait for it. I then rang them and asked them why they took payment and orders without telling me it was out of stock. They said it's because the website is updated 24-48 hours after. The problem with that lie is that my mate also ordered it about 4 or 5 days AFTER me and he wasn't told it was out of stock either.

I now can't order the Hardened Edition from anywhere as it's all out of stock. I'm so angry.

I doubt there's anything I can do, is there?

Phone up Asda. I complained I hadn't received mine and got a 50% refund as, I believe, have many others. My son really wanted it on the first day but now he's chuffed to be getting £35 back.
