Achieved very little, washed up and loaded DW.

Morning from hell really. Mother on the phone with the usual pre Christmas nightmare her and my sister cause every year. In a nutshell told her I'm not playing their stupid games this year.

Not getting very far with the carpenter and what I don't like about the windows either.

At least insurance assessor caused no hassle so the 3 of them have taken up my entire morning and now I have to sort out my governor stuff for tonight's meeting.

Sorry that was a right moan wasn't it.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • Well, I've vacuumed the floors downstairs and put the DW on again, as something made everything smell of homemade barbeque marinade.

About to get Minion to the physioterrorist and then, depending on whether it's too cold or not, might nip into the hairdressers, as I have a show tonight and, having seen last week's photos, I need to do something with it (and my huge stomach, but that can't happen overnight, sadly).

    It's cold today!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Hi,

So far have been to tesco, S&S'd kitchen, put the bins out for tomorrow, WM and TD on, made soup and fed the boys, and fed them again, and again! Can't seem to fill them up at the moment, especially the older one. Think I will have to bake some cheese straws or something cheap to keep him filled because it's costing me an arm and a leg in yogurts and fruit.

Soup is smelling good so I'm going to crack on with the bathroom and then have a bowl for my lunch - always soup on a Monday as it's weigh in day tomorrow (let's just ignore the 3 nice biscuits I just had...)

    HHC anyone?

    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

Good afternoon, back from work and put a load in the wm. DD home with me too......she had a couple of spots on her face last week and I didn't think anything of it but today now she has some strange red marks on her hand and the school secratery has advised taking her to the docs(hate going there though!!!), I'd rather take her to the chemist and see what they say.....neither open till 2 though, so I'll pop to the chemist and then if they advice going to the doctors then I will go.

On a flying note I have got my list of 5 things

    Opticians
Doctors( was on my list before dd, so will have to go at some point!!!!)
    Hair cuts
    studying
    desk shelves

We'll see how I get on with them.

how sad and a waste of time life must be for many sat writing a list of cleaning chores! I hope many of you are just lonely and just looking for 'virtual' chat! If not then get back into paid employment asap.

How sad that some people have nothing better to do with their time than read forum posts, which they have no interest in, and try to wind poeple up just so they can some interaction in their otherwise lonley life.

    Afternoon all!

I'm coming out of lurkdom as I seem to do better with the lists when I'm posting.
I'm pleased it's the bathroom today, as I scrubbed all the tiles down at the weekend, so I can just finish it off when I get home from work.

I was inspired last week to dig out my old suede gloves. Does anyone have any tips on how to clean them? The dry cleaners won't do them as they're too small an item to go through their machines. I've had a scrub using suede cleaner for shoes, but they still look grubby.

Monday - Bathroom, shower room, toilet

    Level 1
Clear and mop the bathroom floor
    Clear and wipe window sill
    Clean toilet
    Level 2
Clean all plug holes and the plugs themselves~ use gloves if needed.
Check seal and grout, clean if need be, replace if need be
    Level 3

Remove all dirty laundry & wash
    Empty bin and wash out
Decant any half bottles of bubble bath and such like, chuck out empty bottles
Scrub shower tray, into all the corner with an old tooth brush

    Declutter mission
All bits of soap and such like, fling, unless you are the crafty type and can make into a new soap block.

Tuesday - Landing, hallway, spare room, office or other room you haven’t cleaned in a while

    Level 1
Remove clutter off floor and rehome / recycle
    Clean floors
    Removed any cob webs
    Level 2
Remove any sticky finger marks from stairs / walls
    Clean lamp shades
Is spare room going be to used over Christmas, if so do you know where bedding and such like is?
    Level 3

15mins you time doing what ever you like

    Declutter mission
Fling all that clutter no excuses

    Wednesday - Kitchen

    Level 1
    Wipe over surfaces
Clean toaster / kettle / microwave
    Level 2
Clean lights, take care please, no falling off steps or ladders
    Clean tablecloth
All junk off table and rehomed.
    Level 3

Clean out fridge, out of date / fluffy food bin
Clean extractor fan and replaced filter.
Clean out a cupboard you have been dumping stuff in

    Declutter mission
Chuck out all old dish cloths / j cloths / such like that are manky
Chuck out all ‘going’ rusty / split kitchen utensils, buy new ones

Might edit this list to suit later:
Check over store cupboard for food, add basic food stuffs if needed
Do a meal plan for the next week, using up freezer / cupboard stock
Mobility aids, such as wheelchairs, motorised scooters, walking sticks, check wheels / tyres are in good repair, battery of machine charged up, connection leads in good order, walking stick have a decent gripper on the bottom of them, if not get it sorted now, before the slippery weather arrives.
Do 3 items off your toots list (items 3, 5, 10)
Do 2 items off your frog list (items 6, 9)
Garden put away summer toys / games / furniture
Check shed is tidy, oil hinges / lock, where is the key to the lock
    Plant any spring flowering bulbs
Make 20 min for a home made spa / face mask / you time
Drag out everything from under the bed storage unit or similar, sort out, rehome / freecycle anything you have not used for a while / don’t need.
Make those appointments you have been putting off, ie doctors / dentist / hair / vets / bank.
Check garage door closes, where is the key to the garage.
Make sure all bikes have brakes / lights / bells that work
Clean out all dog / cat / other animals, toys / grooming brushes / check over leads / collars
