    Have you tried taking buscopan or colpermin? They help alot with crampy pains and you can get them over the counter without prescription....might make you more comfortable until you can see the doctor. I have mild IBS and buscopan works wonders, apparently it helps with period pain too.

    Hey all thanks for your replies. I went to the doctor yesterday and he's given me some tablets, I'm to take one before each meal. I started feeling crampy again today but it's gone now. Still slight lingering pain on one side, hoping that subsides. I am bogged down by stress from the wedding now so that takes my mind of things at least!
