Hi All,

I drive a 04 Vectra that has never been hit, however the airbag light has suddenly started to appear all of the time.

Is this a difficult issue to resolve and can it prevent the car from going through an MOT?

Thanks in advance.

depends whats wrong with it i suppose there could be a number of things causing the light to come on.

i doubt it'll go through the mot with a faulty airbag
Come on, it's not rocket surgery is it?

    It will.

No doubt the OP has disturbed something under the seat.

or a seat belt tensioner. Pretty sure my old BM had the same issue and the problem was related to a tensioner.

Huh? A little confused, I said mine passed it's MOT with the little red airbag light. Sorry for any confusion? :)
  • I had the airbag light come on when I had a Skoda Felica. It was the alternator and not the airbag that was faulty.

I had the car connected to the garage laptop today, it appears that the car requires a new sim to be installed into the steering wheel of the car, the price of the new sim is £350+.
