can I still claim PPI

I am desperately trying to find advice as I don't have much time.

I have possessed an egg credit card for many years. When I heard about the PPI claims I went through all the paperwork I had received with a fine tooth comb. I couldn't find anything with reference to insurance and because I never agree to accept insurance when applying for credit I assumed I didn't have insurance on my egg card.
However I checked my !on-line account last week and to my horror I found I was paying £16.56 per month for 'Credit Card Repayment Protector'.

The problem is that egg have informed me that my credit card account is being transferred to barclaycard and it will be happening on 11th November.

My question is: will I still be able to claim through barclaycard, or will they regard it as a brand new contract. if so can I still claim from egg?
