Ive recently secured myself a graduate job, but im hoping to go travelling over the summer. Whats the best way of borrowing money over the summer to go away that I can then pay back when I start my job?

best way is borrowing it off your parents!Come on, it's not rocket surgery is it?0

Save money now through your loan and/or get a part-time job to help. You could also be incredibly cheeky and ask your parents, because I seriously doubt any reputable money-lender is going to loan you anything for travelling. There are ways to travel on the cheap, but it depends on where you want to go and what you want to do.0

Don't forget all the initial expense you'll have when you start a job and the fact that you won't get any money for at least a month.0

Have you got a student account with an interest free overdraft? If you have has it been spent?0

if you plan to travel for a long time such as secerl months, you can go one place then find a work while you can travel there on your free time.
One of my freinds is just doing that,he has gone lots of places.
but I think that is really need courage.0 -
Be very careful about taking a job during your final year of study. If you do badly academically you might find that your job offer gets withdrawn.
Your bank is the obvious place to ask (apart from parents, of course). Let them know what is going on; show them the letter with the job offer; see what they can offer.0 -

Yep mines conditional on a 2:1. So I have to either go to parents or student loan to get money for going away? Theres no other real way of doing it?
Big grad recruitment firms sometimes offer recent graduates an interest free loan of £1-2000 to help them move, get set up in a new house, buy new work clothes etc. which is repaid gradually through your salary. Maybe ask if they do something like that at all?Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Yes, but that would be given when the graduate starts work. So the OP could not use this to travel, although the knowledge that something like this would be available would enable him to spend every last penny on travel rather than having to save something for starting work.0
