Apologies
I'm 6'7" and walk pretty fast, but yes, a slight miscalculation there.
The fold up bike idea is a good one money saving wise
I also have a few friends who run to and from work if you happen to be into that0 -
And then I assume tube it from Holborn to Covent Garden?
How much would I likely be spending a week on the oyster?
No, It's a five minute walk. Bus to Holborn or Aldwych depending on which bit of Covent Garden you're in. Avoid Covent Garden tube at all times.
If you just do one bus journey each way every day your Oyster spend will be £13pw. Do a few walks to get it down to £10.
You can also travel to City Thameslink and walk to Covent Garden from there. Again, depends on which road you're in.Can I help?0 -
Excellent advice guys.
Here's what I'm going to do.
I'm going to stay in London three days a week (MON-WED) catch the bethnal green tube to holborn and then walk to covent garden.
(THURS-FRIDAY) I'm going to drive to london, leaving my car in bethnal green and then tube it to holborn... etc
I know driving to london is unwise but it's only two days a week so I won't be drove completely insane
Thank you all for your help0 -
If you do few days train and then car will it be cost effective? Train prices are horrendous and if you don't live near to station you'll end up paying for station parking as well.
You can drive to an outer zone station (like Stanmore etc.), park your car there and take the train. It will be tiring though.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0
