Steam cleaner for tiled floor?

I've got a large expanse of tiled floor. The grout has got manky over the years and I'm sure the tiles have lost their original colour.
Just wondering about getting a steam cleaner. Or maybe even hiring one. Are they worth it do you think? Especially for the grout - there is too much of it for the tooth brush and bleach method and my poor old back!
Cheers

We tried a steam cleaner in the work to help with cleaning shower tiles, floors etc., we went back to powerwash as it wasnt very successful and took more time,(staff hated using it also) have you tried oxygen bleach, havent used it on grout myself, but it's supposed to be very good, it's safe to use and doesnt smell either0
