Where to hire a VW camper van for the day??

Thanks That's one of the companies I contacted - £450 for a camper van for the (half) day, which just too expensive for us.

I thought as much - i would still recommend registering on the forum and asking the question of the members - almost certainly someone on there would do it for you if you just cover their costs and bung them a few quid for their time. Unlikely that someone would let you drive their vehicle but i guess that would suit anyway.

The members are a friendly and helpful bunch.

Oh yes, we don't mind who does the driving!! We would definitely be willing to pay any kind soul who was willing to give up their Saturday afternoon for us, just that £400-odd is way over our budget.

it might be worth asking a vw club thats near too you ... ? belleek is right its a dead friendly community

Don't want to be a party pooper but there are insurance implications when "hiring" a vehicle.
Most policies state "not for hire or reward" on private coverage.
