    Thank you Mickey for your very detailed reply these are all ITs I have considered and I dont have any particular desire for income rather than growth as I think both are a very good thing! Nor would I particularlylimit myself to one sector. I am 65 but have no immediate need for income (unless my husband dies and its half a pension!) I would re-invest dividends. I am more just looking for good investment trusts that have a good record and will hopefully perform in the future as I plan to live a good long time yet!
    I have learned so much from this thread and if there are others who are quite novice then I hope they have too.
    Thanks to everyone and I hope I have ticked everyone's box! You are all absolutely excellent about helping out.
    Mickey, is Moneyweek worth the money? I read IC and Money Observer in the public library where I work. Have never looked at Moneyweek and I believe there is a shares magazine weekly too.
    Not sure I would have time for much more than I read, what with FT and other newspapers at w/e, Citywire, this forum and Motley Fool newsletter (can't cope with the forum)
