Enjoy your holiday make sure you relax properly.
Good luck to Mr T in the job hunting glad he has found something that interests him to apply for that is great. My tip is to always call up and ask questions about the job if the advert invite you to. Works well in my industry in fact it's almost expected to show you are interested proper.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks for all the hols good wishes. All having a good time and DD and I are off to the beach again this morning for a couple of hours, with one of her girlfriends. Great coincidence they are both here together and it's good to see them having some time to relax.
I had a bit of a eureka moment recently about why I am always on the go, so it's likely my diary will become more relaxed when I return to normality:)
I do have a pile of ironing to do though and will be aiming to do that in the hottest part of the day, enjoying the air con
No pennies to OP anywhere but, due to spending cuts and no main OPs this month, I have moved £3.5k into the offset mortgage folder. I'll be doing the same again this month. After that it's down to one salary until Mr T is sorted.
I will be hunting down hyper excited smilies for the day I post that he has a new job:). At that point we will be all steam ahead to catch up - we could make deadline of December 2015 potentially and for the time being, I am sticking with that.
I have a final salary pension scheme which I've had checked over and it's in better shape than I thought, which is another tick in the box. Plus I'm looking at how to continue a reasonable income between retiring early (55) and all pensions being payable. Exciting times but I'm definitely back in the land of positivity so the holiday is doing me good:)
Have a fab Tuesday

All sounding positive Tilly and we will be celebrating with you when MrT gets a new job!!
Is your MF date when you are planning on retiring too or will you have a few more years of work to save up?
I am planning my retirement already with at least 20 more years of work to go!!0 -
Hi TYO, providing Mr T is sorted, I will have 3 years of working after the mortgage has gone which allows me to build up a separate fund. I had hoped to retire at 52 but actually am leaning more to working the following three years if I can. If I could work it to be made redundant around that age, then that would be the equivalent of earning 4 years of salary - who knows in this precarious world
The last few weeks have really made us evaluate what is important - I thought I had learnt a lot having a LBM and starting a diary etc, but it's surprising how you learn even more when things hit the fan
I want to get back to playing the piano - I played for years when younger and I am going to find a way to start again.

raining here Tilly, enjoy the sun. I like your plan of taking up piano again, my dad recently retired for the 3rd time and announced he is going to learn piano and his 4th career will be as a concert pianist. We'll see...
