Evening, well that was an interesting home coming. Neighbours on the doorstep, complaints about loud music, dancing until all hours, and much clanking of bottles whilst we were on holiday. They also mentioned a hippo skip on the drive full of empty bottles and cans :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Home safe and sound, amazing holiday, a few escapades and early night. Popped to the M&S in the local BP garage and came back with two packs of ham and cheese sandwiches for 50p. So that's the kids school lunches sorted it out. Lodger had left milk, eggs and potatoes, so dinner tomorrow will not be off the menu plan. I will make a huge omelette with potatoes, onion etc and serve with a salad from the garden.
Actually have £437 to pay into the bank and will whizz that to the mortgage. More discussions with Mr T whilst we were away. He has his eye on a car - bear in mind we are really not car nuts and I am quite happy with my (almost 115k) chug along - there is no way we could consider buying a new car until the mortgage has gone, so I am changing the end date to 31:12:15. This will put us under a little more pressure, will mean I have to make some changes, but that would allow us to save from January until May 2016 and buy a car with cash. I do understand that my old faithful may die before then, but that would be replaced with another chug along.
Nothing like tightening the screws a little just as we had got into a good routine - there will be more surveys, PC, eb@ying, car booting, and I am aiming for all birthdays/anniversaries/Christmas 2013 to be cost neutral  Tall order but what's life without a few challenges along the way

Excuse me, who do you think put the milk etc in the fridge .
I've been having a rethink on targets as well, looks like a lot of scheming all round.
Glad you're home safely.
