At a guess if you cancel with more than, and then go back to pigsback and purchase it via them they would track it and see you have bought it?

    That's a guess I'm not 100%

Firstly, just to let yous know that this is the first time I have posted to this, or indeed any other thread on MSE, though I have been a lurker for a while now. Please accept my apologies if this question has been asked and answered in the past..too many pages to look thru !!

Basically, I like the ethos of pigsback, in that you get summat for nowt. However, I would like to ask that if you go for all the registration/sign ups that get you points, do you get loads of junk/spam e-mail?

    Cheers

I give false addresses for my physical address, and if i ever get any junk email i just unsubscribe from the service, generally you only get emails from the things you sign up to, i've never had anything from 'affiliated' groups.

  • I use my own address, own phone number and usual email address. I've never been bothered by mail or calls. I have been bombarded with email newsletters from one or two companies (the get me a ticket bunch spring to mind) but unsubscribing has never been a problem.

I use my own home addy and home phone number (but i have anon call blocker.. which cuts that kind of call down alot).. I didnt think to use a fake home addy. bah!
I do use another email address of all that kind of thing.. and I must say since I joined Pigsback/Rpoints/Quidco (and registered on the various sites) about 10 days ago.. that email account that usually has virtually NO emails, I have received about 150 (junk) ones

Edited to add: Oh and Ive had loooooads of junk mail in the post this last week.

so basically, you can sign up/register or whatever for the points, then when they come through you can unsubscribe and still have your pb points, therefore in effect not being liable to any junk e-mail from whatever site or whatever you've subscribed to? sos for sounding so dense, tis that I'm not too au fait with this sort of stuff and my DH would prob get rather annoyed if we got loads of unsolicited/junk e-mails due to my dallyings pb. We do have a junk email and anti spam filter set up so surely wouldn't be too bad if we did loads of unwanted messages
