Claiming tax credits while on holiday

I am self-employed and I am claiming working tax credits. I am considering going on holiday for two weeks. Do I have to contact Revenue and Customs to tell them this or do I just keep claiming the money as usual? How much holidays am I entitled to? I can find no details about this on the Internet and I wondered how this would work?

You have 4 weeks run-on so I'd imagine that means no more than 4 weeks at a time....but...you can take this up to 4 weeks several times per year. For example if your client was a school that you only worked in term time then there are quite a few holidays throughout the year. There is no need to inform tax credits.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Holidays aren't a problem unless are over 8 weeks.
