Portable speakers (non ipod!!)

I'm after some decent portable speakers that I can use with my Android phone or an mp3 player (not an ipod). There apears to be loads of ipod docking speakers, which are no good to me as I don't have and don't intend getting an ipod.

Ideally the speakers should be rechargeable as well as mains operated, with good sound quality and volume.

Can anyone recommend anything?

most ipod docks come with a regular jack lead anyway for other mp3 players. Could check out the mini rig. They look great and sound great for the money too

it depends what kind/size you are looking for, something like this may do perfectly or something like this or this.

or as Jeff Bridges hair says most ipod docks have a line in so you can connect any mobile/mp3 ect player to them.
search for something you like the look of in youtube and you will find an unboxing/tour of the product which will let you see the device and also see it in use.
