When is the best time to buiy a greenhouse
Hi folks,
Can you tell me if now is the best time to buy a greenhouse?
I see that there is 25% off as an early winter discount on the model I have set my heart on, and a very limited number of ex display ones - if I hold my nerve will they go cheaper, or is it simply likely that at the end of the year they'll just switch to the new increased prices in preparation for the new season??
Thanks,
Gail

Hi, I asked the exact same question about 6 months ago and the general concensus was that there is no particular time of the year when they are cheaper, I think it is just a case of watching out for a general sale from the shop you decide to buy from ie B&Q have certain sales weekends and homebase etc.
My thread was

I ended up buying one which was on special offer from the greenhouse people and I would highly recommend them, I could not find one anywhere else that came close to their special offer. I bought a Simplicity 6 X 8 green package (with a green base and bar capping as extras) and it is still on special offer reduced from £759 to £499. Just check B&Q etc for comparisons and it is a great offer.
I have never had a greenhouse before or built one and if I ever wanted another I would go back to them.

I hope this may be of some help0 -
Thanks -that's a great help.
I have looked at The Greenhouse People (and spookily enough despite being in a rural area managed to pass one of their wagons on the day I had looked....), and also summergreenhouses, who seem to beat their deal - same price but with a heater thrown in on top - just got to decide whether I can afford it now0 -
Hi, If you do buy from the Greenhouse people bear in mind that when I phoned up with my order I told them I wanted the green base and bar capping and a rainwater kit etc as extras but my wife had agreed to spending £500 only and could they help me with some discount because my wife would go mad and I think from memory I got about another £25 quid off (every little helps!)0
