Yes, a bit. All depends on what size you save your image at, but the larger you do that, the bigger the file size and then the possibility that it might be too big to upload bla bla bla.
I'm not saying that's not a good way, after all you get more pics for your money, but I prefer to ad pics at different parts of my sales depending upon what's written (i.e. to match the text) and you can't do that simply by making a 'montage' of your pics.0 -
I recently picked up this tip, and used it to show a silver item and a close up of the hallmarks side by side. Came out fine and visible without distortion, and best sale I ever made.JENJEN30X wrote:I use paint shop pro and put a few pictures on a new background save it as jpeg and resize it. For all your pictures, and especially if you are adding extra ones into the text, it is a good idea to resize them in terms of file size. When taking pictures do not use the highest resolution settings and generate huge files that download very slowly. Computer monitors only show 72DPI, any extra detail is a waste of the buyer's time.
You can optimize pictures for free here (no registration even):
http://www.myimager.com/
but be warned the site has a lot of annoying banner ads, although they reduced the load in Oct 04. otherwise works a treat. You can select the degree to which you want to reduce the file, it tells you the change in file size once done, and all actions are reversible. When you finish optimizing your image, just right click on it and save it back to your hard drive.si talia jungere possis sit tibi scire satis 0 -
I usually include my own picture - of actual item for free
then write my ad in HTML code and include a pic from either the original manufacturer or one loaded in my freespace with ISPAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
