ppi nightmare

I am posting this question for a friend of mine so details are not all available for now

He went to a company advertising no win no fee to reclaim the ppi

and indeed won the repayment however they charged him for the

privelage and the charge was all he recieved plus a further £300+

as a special offer!!!! if they dont take the offer the charge will be

£800+

That means the firm has all his repayment plus at least a further £300

To me this seems to be well out of order

Can anything be done??

hope someone can help
Trevor

Your friend needs to check the T&C's of the agreement he signed with them
That is ridiculous, most Claims Companies will take 20%/25% I have even heard of some take as high as 39% but to keep ALL of YOUR redress and a further charge of £300+ is downright criminal
    Who are they?
The only time you should be out of pocket using a CC is if the whole of the redress is used to pay off arrears and then you have to pay the CC their 25% + vat out of your own pocket. Did your friend have arrears on the loan or credit card?
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)
