jsa

hi
my partner works and i gave up work 1 month ago as i had no suitable childcare. I applied for jsa and got a letter this morning saying i hadnt paid enough NI contributions but i could still sign on every fortnight.

My question is this..my partner has got a transfer to belfast from Glasgow with work and we were looking at privatly renting a house there. Do i put on the housing benefit form that i am on Jsa or not? if i do then we get help paying the rent if i say no we dont which doesnt make sense to me really can anyone help?

thanks

Housing benefit can be paid whether you are in JSA or not. Given that your partner is working it will be based on the household income and the LHA rate that will dictate whether you qualify for any help
