Hello
I have a graphic which is on a PDF document which I need to edit and make larger. Is this possible with windows paint? Or is there a free program I can download to use?

Banana Lovers
Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

I think the way to do that would be to open the PDF, zoom into the page until the image/graphic is the size you want it to be and then use a screen capture tool to capture the image. Windows 7 includes the 'Snipping Tool' that could be used for this. With the selected area 'snipped' it is possible to save the image straight from the snipping (or screen capture) program as a JPG, GIF or PNG.
There are other more comprehensive programs that will do screen captures. I use a free (for home use only) program called PicPick. This is a bit more than just a screen capture tool though. If you want look into others, type screen capture into a search engine. A selection should be listed.
With the image saved, you could then edit it further in an editing program but it has to be remembered that JPG, GIF and PNG images are 'bitmaps' and as such don't resize particularly well without losing definition. So it's best to get the image about the right size as described in the first paragraph so that further resizing would only need to be minimal (if at all).Error! - Keyboard not attached.
