    You know of course that you can just ignore these idiots. You don't need telling that, but please try not to let them bother you. Hard I know, but just think about how pathetic these people are. Don't let them upset you.

    Did you email them as suggested before?

    debtinfo also suggested that you ask your OR to actually ring them? Has that been done?

    thanks fermi
    i did indeed email them i also returned their last letter telling them again that i was br. i wrote it so a blind person couldnt have missed it.
    i also reported them to the or within the last 8 wks who wrote to them again.
    think its the thought that i dont feel totally comfortable at the moment without the threat of them coming here again.
    i will be reporting them to the oft? on monday morning

    I always quote the BR ref with county court details when i communicate to former creditors.

    it does take time , this week all told i got two letters in the mail and neither were debt related. (yipee)

    However a few months ago i did speak with the OR re one creditor that kept writing, the OR said it is often generated letters that are not actually illegal, its when they go for a further course of action that they are unlawful, cant remember if it was sending a statement of account, so it could be whilst its a pain in the kneck they do know, but the computer is spinning these letter out without control and any actual enforcement action really wouldnt take place.

    It's been 3 1/2 yrs since I was BR and 2 3/4 yrs since being discharged, in that time I've had 2 letters from Moorcroft chasing me for the money I no longer owe them. The first one I can perhaps understand but the second one had me calling them again to be told that they send these letters out annually to debtors. Their letters make good shopping lists, except the bit with my N&A on.

    Mandy..why not take the bull by the horns, and perhaps invite the debt collector in for a natter..bore the pants off them, [don't forget the soggy stale biscuits?]...

    Allow them the financial ecstasy of wasting all that postage....?

    Do you have a coal fire? [a more useful purpose for the letters?}
    No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

    Shame that they won't actually try legal action.

    Could have some real fun if they did. 2dbv0yd.gif

    call them in and keep them on the door step, say im going in for some money but advice by taking it they are acting illegally, then go back with some pennies after a least an hour.

    Collectors are self employed , i think they will get the message.
