What is the spring fair?
I am going to the Business Start Up exhibition on the 23rd Feb at the NEC, but haven't heard about the Spring Fair....
BTW, the Business Start Up fair is FREE so would recommend to people to get down there...

Yes, this is the biggest trade fair for general and gift items in the UK. You will need more than one day there unless you are only looking at a very limited area of goods. I find these things exhausting to go round!0

I went last year and it was well worth it!MORPH3US wrote:

We were at the Autumn fair which is v. similar, as exhibitors. We didn't take any actual payments while there, just took orders and processed them when we got back. You can usually get free tickets to Spring and Autumn Fairs if you are prepared in advance. If you really mean to buy things then allow minumum 2 days' attendance these fairs are so large.0

The Spring Fair is far larger than the Autumn fair. It's in about 18 halls - the autumn fair used about 6 I think.0

Hi
We are going on the sunday just to look at the toys (Its enough my feet will be killing me by the time i've done this)
make sure you wear comfy shoes and take a bag that won't cut your circulation off when its full of brochures.
we always take all the brochures home and then order unless the offers are too good to miss
good hunting everyone:j :j

It has been said that if you wanted to walk past the front of each stand then you would walk 80 miles!Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

Don't be bullied by the hard sell. Unless you really love the stuff and/or the offer at the fair is too good to miss, think carefully and order when you get back. It is far too easy to get carried away and regret it later.windswept wrote:we have just received our badges and guide, it will be our first trade fair, has anyone got any tips, other than to take the company cheque book and credit card?;) we are planning to go on the sunday, anyone else?
It is quite overwhelming the first time so get oriented when you arrive and work out exactly where you need to go. You will walk for miles so do prepare to be knackered. Good luck.0
