We park at the Floriana Park and Ride and get off of the bus at the top by the redevelopment area of the Gates. Walk down towards the Tourist Information Centre and that will be on your left hand side. I think that it's called Merchants Street. Carry on walking down for a few minutes and on your right hand side will be a bakery/sweet shop/local type food and drink gifts. It is opposite BHS, give or take but not as far as the market. The Pick and Mix are 1 euro for 200g, which I think is cheap. They also do lovely marzipan fruit bowls for 4-8 euros which are truly a work of art.

Have you tried Mr Maxims pastizzeria? Where abouts do your family live?
