Hi, just got back from my local store. There is a friendly customer sa that I helped during dtd, and with coupons, (yes I know it was a risk at first, but I've done it for about 6 years and she's proved invaluable at times), and she called me over on my way in to warn me that 'the management' were checking all the old stock for misprices, cos items were going through the tills at silly prices. She said that they had got hold of a list, with pictures of the items from somewhere.
Now I haven't joined or commented before on the f/book thingy, but it is the only place that a comprehensive list, with piccys, is available, afaik. It seems to me that it has been made very easy for 'them' to access the details. The internet is anonymous up to a point, and anyone who is a 'spy' for 'them' could be on here under any username they choose, be a member that meets the f/book joining criteria, and joins the facebook group by setting up an account in that username. As one never knows who people are, or what their motives are it is best I have found, to be very careful.
It would be such a shame for us to lose all the valuable info everyone generates here, and I hate to read all the upset that has been caused.
T will continue to make mistakes to our advantage, let's not make it easy for them to rectify those mistakes before we've all had a good crack of the whip.
There, I've had my say, and hope I don't get flamed for it.
On another note, I got a small dtd yesterday. T own microwave veg bags containing sweetcorn, spinach, peas and broccoli had a white sel for 64p. I bought two, and they scanned at £1.45. Dtd of £3.24. Sorry no barcode as I take the four bags out of the big bag so I can squeeze them into my well stuffed freezer, and the bin men came this morning.Awaiting a new sig0 -
I have just been to my local homeplus at crib3s and tesco have done a bloody good job of clearing it out- anything that might have been 4p previously has had the bottom part of the tag taken off and another price sticker stuck on there. I saw handbags and scarves with this. In the same way, they've done it to the knitwear as well so you cant get anything decent for a fiver- anything that was £12 is now marked up at £14
There was nothing- no trays, dvd's, pyrex dishes (apart from a double pack RTC for £3.50) Shirts all labelled with £5 stickers and scanning at that price as well.
I must have looked a right muppet going to and from the scanner!
I was suspicious on Friday that they had had a clear out up there, but today its confirmed :-(
But while I was there i saw the MOST AMAZING parking ever- someone had parked across the kerb on the split levels. No wonder the RAC were there when i got back out. I would have taken a pic but someone was in the carI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Good evening MSE's, I thought I'd share this with you all.
I havs just finised talking to an old friend of mine, who use to be on T's till and now works on CS.
I was walking through and she called me over to tell me what was going on at T's. She knows i'm on here as I used to go to her when there was cheap stuff (glitchs and DTD's)
Well, she showed me this 'booklet' of all the things that were posted on facebook!! Apparently all main employees have a copy and are to take what they see on there off the shelves!!
So well done on those of you who started the facebook thing!
Also she stated that they (tesco) are going to employ someone solely to check the internet to find pricing errors. And all this was started by FACEBOOK. I knew there was a reason for hating it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I truly hope this isn't going to affect this thread, but i feel that this going to be the beginning of the end. Sorry if this is bad news.:(
Please prove me wrong.:(:(0
