Gosh, this thread is flying tonight. It's taken me over an hour to read it since teatime:eek:
Hello and welcome to all the newbies:hello:
Good luck on stopping smoking Nikkilala, and any others contemplating it. I was successful in using the patches and my sister-in-law is currently using one of those electronic cigarettes, being a smoker for over 40 years.
Whatever method works for you, it is definitely worth the effort.
We're all behind you - Happychappy's ear was the first challenge - you are the new Contender0 -
hello everyone...
this is my first post but i have been lurking and in fact im already addicted to the tesco threads just readin it - as the nearest tesco to me was a very small express with prices always updated so there's no chance and the next one is really far...
im going to a hospital in shepton tom where there is a big tesco nearby..would anybody know if they have a scanner there?
also, can someone help clarify to me - do all barcodes work? do clothing with AW10 and SS11 means its 4p? so if there is no scanner - does that mean you always have to risk in the till? and last thing, i ordered a coat online but it is faulty - can i return it instore and prob say i lost my receipt to avoid scrutiny?
i apologize for asking too many questions in my very post..but thank you very much for all of you who post all the bargains....0 -
A heads up with regards to the 'Light Strike Twin Pack' toy that has been mentioned on here as a DTD item.
Just checking on Mr T website, it is priced at £30 now (from £60). Don't know if this will be the instore price now as well?0 -

Every morning I log in and catch up with this thread and make a note of all the posts I could give a helpful response to but by the time I have caught up, half a dozen other people have already done so.
I end up making a stupid, pointless post like 'bought some PJs today...' just to be able to join in.
me too this is my second post, lurked guiltily for ages, would love to join in, but felt so stupid after my first useless post decided to go back to lurking. If I ever find something worthwhile I will post, promise.0 -

I have put a link to the scanner locations on the first posting. Good luck at the hospital0 -
Does anyone else find the main Grabbit board boring since everything was moved about? I confess that apart from this thread, I now go over to the dark side (hotuk) to see what deals are about:o

Should take them back to the store to have the tags removed. It shouldn't matter that the reciept says 4p, as if they scan them that will be the correct price and once you've paid for the item it's already yours.
I took a friend to t's this week to start her training and before we left we decided to use the loo. as we walked in the alarms went off, it was a tag left on her 4p handbag. Handed the bag and the receipt to the nearest checkout. The sa looked at the receipt in confusion, then scanned the bag and said '4p, that it is cheap, I just had to check it make sure' the she happily removed the tag and we went on our way.
