Good morning everyone! Hope your day is better than mine is so far....

*Warning do not read if eating brekkie or feeling delicate*

DD had vomiting on Friday night and a bit of diarrhoea. All day Saturday she was fine. She was even able to eat a banana and some toast. She was fine all of Saturday night too.

My children went to their Dad's yesterday. I sent him an email to just give our DD some banana, toast and maybe a little mashed potato later if she felt like it.

Well, she came home crying her eyes out and really distressed. Turns out he had given her chocolate, a rich casserole and garlic bread.

Soooo, she went back to being sick again last night, and she has woken up this morning soaked in diarrhoea.:(

    I am so cross!

Sorry if TMI and you're eating your breakfast. Just had to vent my frustration and disgust.

Hope everyone has a good day and that you all find lots of bargains and glitches. x

    Morning all

Good luck today for anyone bargain hunting. Me? I shall be stuck in work with barely 30 seconds to look at anything non-work related so no doubt i will be catching up on about a gazillion threads when i get home this evening!

I tried to do a good deed in Cardiff, I will admit I was filling my trolley with plenty kitchen roll so possibly looked a little odd, I told an older gent that the 6 packs were scanning at 92p not £3 - there were plenty left on the shelf. Never even got a thanks.

But in the same store a few weeks back I did help a lady get a camera for her daughter for £25 who was very pleased - so sometimes you are rewarded for being pleasant other times they just look at you like you have 2 heads.:D

The comment was made very lightly, tongue in cheek.

Seriously, I agrre with you and have had similar experiences. The other week, a lady was looking at 2 robes, one was £16 and onbe was £18 - they both looked the same.:o She noticed that I had a couple in my trolley and asked (with an American accent) what the difference was as they looked identical. I explained that the lower priced ones were 'old stock'. She then picked up 3, telling me that she had three birthdays coming up and it woukld be six bucks cheaper! Doing my bit for international relationships, I told her that they were actually scanning at 4p! She didn't beleive me:eek:. So I took her to the scanner and showed her how to scan. She couldn't believe it was 4p and asked if it woukld change when it was scanned at the checkout. She then said Is this a Candid Camera type show where they then jump out and say Gotcha!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I told her that it wasn't. She looked at my trolley and asked about the other stuff that I had in it -socks, pjs, loungewear and trays. I said that they were all 4p except the trays and they were 1p! I also told her that if the recipients didn't like tghem or fit ok, I wouldn't take them back but take them to the local homeless shelter.I showed her where all the things were as she selected several bits - still leaving plenty for others. I went onto do my shopping. At the checkout, I saw that she came up behind me and unloaded her stuff. Her load looked identical to mine, right down to the frozen puff pastry! She smiled at me and said that she thought that if mine went through and nobody jumped out shouting Gotcha! that she'd be ok! When I'd paid, she just looked at me ans said Thank you so much -you've made my day. I left the shop with a smile on my face.:):)

Tesco are very good when things develop faults under guarantee, and so are Amazon. I love my kindle I hope you get yours sorted soon.

My OH's Kindle (bought at the end of August) developed a fault - the 3G wouldn't work and all of his books and archived items were removed whilst we were on holiday. The support team called him back so that he didn't incur overseas charges.:)

It hapened again this weekend and Amazon are sending out a new one today and then we have to return the faulty one within 14 days. Can only speak as I find and am impressed with the backup so far.

on a serious note, when i'm in hospital, i'm always professional. and also, when i become a doc, i will treat every patient as though they are my mum...so no worries there.

i'll always carry a trout though in my medical bag, just in case; for medical emergencies. fish oils being good for you and all!

    :rotfl:

Your integrity was never in doubt, Karlie. Just don't try The Omen thing if you are treating a trout by holding your medical bag trout in front of them.:rotfl::rotfl:

I told a lady about the custard pots, she replied she only wanted 2 anyway! and looked at me as if I was dolally, in the same store a few weeks later I had the coupons from the leaflet tesco were giving out and had the tin of chocs (roses or QS) and thorntons £1 off coupons, I saw an old lady with both these items in the trolley and asked her if she had the coupons, turned out she didn't so I gave them to her, she was so grateful :)

Off to Cr@d1ey He@t4 later trying to make a list of what I "need"
