i once bumped some idiot who decided to go around a corner at 1mile per hour for no reason at all,i was going normal speed just didn't expect him to crawl when turning left

insurance said defo my fault even though he was driving like a noob, anyone who bumps anyone else up the rear (sorry does that sound rude) is at fault no matter what the person in front has done

I do feel sorry for the OP in their particular situation but your insurance company were right. If you hit someone from behind it is your fault. This is also the case with respect to the police.

The advice I got from my driving instructor(many years ago;)) was to assume that everyone else on the road was an idiot and liable to do stupid things like slow down suddenly etc. As my job involved driving I had to take Defensive Driving courses with ex police drivers and they basically taught the same thing.

One thing that concerns me about the well intentioned supportive "advice" that people are giving may be misleading. As soon as insurance companies are involved and informed, whether it is your fault or not, you then have to declare in subsequent applications that you have been involved in accident. This could affect your subsequent insurance quotes.

Same here, it def wasn't there the first time I looked and then one lonely one suddenly appeared. It's def worth looking in stores again as odds and ends of old stock are still appearing :)

Definitely worth looking again. I don't think I have come out of a store empty handed for quite a few days now. For a few days in a row different packs of socks appeared, just ones on their own that's what made me scan them and unless I am losing the plot I'm 99% sure they had not been there the day before. ;)
  • Guys, I went to my local tonight, and didn't find a single item for 4p. Do you reckon they've taken them all off the shelves? I was only in there 2 days ago, and they was still loads of scarves and tights hidden away. Tonight, not a thing was left.... oh and I saw some aw10 socks, but scanned at the correct price. I hope T's haven't changed the prices back to normal.

  • Hello all,:)
I haven't been on here properly for ages, started an apprentiship a couple of months ago so have been too busy to read through all the pages, just been briefly checking the grabbit board every now and then for glitches! Couldn't sleep so decided to read back a bit, you have been busy, can't believe I've been missing out on on all these 4p clothes! Hope everyone's ok who's had problems and stuff going on.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hello. Will try and join in more often!:)

Very true. I was stationary in traffic and a new driver did not account for the wet weather and went into the back of me.
It didn't look like much damage to my car at the time, so told him I was happy for him to pay for repairs and not go through insurance.
But when my car was looked at properly it turned out there was far more damage than you could see from the back. My boot floor was squashed and what looked like just a small amount of damage to the bumper led to a whole new bumper, due to it being painted and the way it is fitted to the car.
We went through the insurance in the end and, despite it not being at all my fault, when I went to renew, my premium was increased as they don't differentiate between whether it was a fault claim, just that it was a claim.

:grouphug: I hope things are brighter in the morning. I know exactly where your coming from. My OH is being a right ar*e at the moment and this thread and all the lovely people on here are what's kept me sane. If i'm feeling down, I pop to t's for a welcome distraction and then I come here and read the thread, it always cheers me up :)

This place is a great oasis. I read the crap youse are going thro & it reminds me of my 1st marriage. I have tears in my eyes reading the story's but I'm a bloke & I was cheated on but I'm now happily married again, even thou I thought I would never again. I think what I'm trying to say is in the darkness there is light sometimes its hard to see the light but keep looking even a wee glimmer & that's what you go towards cause if I can get through that tunnel then so can youse (this was very hard for me to say but if it helps 1 person on here, then result) x

    Shop two - A vs W
    And then repeat :j:j:j
    & now add - A vs S

Were they ladies socks, I have scanned AW10 and they have not been 4p it's only been mens I have found for that price.

I do think it has slowed down as items have been found and bought like with the electrical stuff but like Fudge says the odd thing is popping up. Great to have the pics to go by. :)

Yes they were ladies socks, soft fleecy material. I'm sure I remember someone either mentioned them or posted a pic of them.

  • Wrexham... found quite a few koo-di universal raincovers on the shelf for 42/43p, bought one and came home...

decided to send the husband back for another as a spare, the whole shelf cleared within half an hour :'(

why would anyone need the 8 or 9 raincovers?

Def has slowed down, but that just means you have to work harder :).
I wasn't following the thread when most of the elctrical stuff and cheap toys were around as I only found you all at the beginning of sept, so missed most of it :(
But thanks to everyone on here posting their finds, and teaching me how this all works, I have still managed to get loads of other great stuff :T:T
And much to my OH's annoyance, now that I've found this thread I'll be staying put :D
