Good grief how many of you went ? Last time we went I knew I was going to sort it out myself but went to the holiday hypermarket place mainly if they could come up with better timings etc. I laughed so hard at the prices they came up with.

Michael O' Leary (the boss of Ryanair) once said "travel agents should be taken outside and shot". I'm totally with him on this one! I've never used a travel agent yet and I've been all over the world.

And for gawd sake have travel insurance that provides at least £50,000,000 worth of medical cover for each person travelling.

I've never been to America (but I've been in some states) but if you have to go to hospital over there their first question isn't "where does it hurt?" it's, "how will you be paying?".

Absolutely you should always have travel insurance but especially when going to America, when I could afford to go, I used to take out an Annual Worldwide Insurance with Martin's advice it works out nearly as cheap as the one off & you never know when you'll get the chance to travel.

Evening young man hope you are on the road to recovery, very important to take the tablets exactly as instructed and also finish the course even if you think you are better sooner. Big hug or pat on the back for seeking help & I told you most doctors are nice

I'm not very techie minded so don't have a clue if this is feasable......but is there any way we could have a first page similar to the one on the voucher codes board where all the info relating to the 4p deals, knives, toys etc. could all be in one place so it would save having to trawl back through the old thread to find them or people having to ask the same questions?
Is it possible that the photo's could be posted there too. I know I'm constantly hunting for barcodes and pictures!!

Just started to try & copy it all to word and was going to put it all on the 2nd post but the photo of the mincemeat jar made it all go a bit weird, its late will try again tomorrow when I get time

I can't decide if this is a good or bad idea? Yes, it will make it easier for alot of us - but may also be of interest to 'others'

Putting finds in bold is less risky as people still have to search through the whole thread.

Personally I've grown lazy on the coupon thread now - just look at the first page occasionally, and therefore miss out on the whole banter side of it. I would hate that to happen on THIS thread - 'we are family':)

Years ago i went to the states we got the flights for £49 each - it was just after 911, and no one wanted to fly so they were literally giving the flights away, i know its not good to take advantage when other people were suffering but i couldn't have afforded to do it otherwise. Another holiday i got was for me and a friend 2 weeks B&B with flights with kingfisher airlines all for free for taking part in a clinical trial which i read about on MSE absolutely amazing, flights alone would have cost £800 each and the hotel was £35 each per night - so we ended up in beautiful GOA all for having a patch put onto our arms which protected us against diarreah, and if any of you know anything about India we couldn't have asked for a better trial to take part in. So there are cheap and free holidays out there you just have to look for them xx

:D Next time I am fortunate enough to go I'm using cashback as well whenever possible, shame Tesco don't do flights I'm sure there would be some howling glitches :rotfl:
