No go at cs for me tiday with the gift sets. Showed them the mag with the offer but it was a polite no. She said that they changed the offer to half price which is better value for customers. I had a refund. Even better value!

Managed to get 6 toy story bags at 1p, and used a till spit for 50p off gift bag no min spend!

    Thats loot bags sorted now.

I don't have a copy of the page now because the CS took it off me yesterday & stapled it to her refund copy but as it doesn't mention prices on there at least I don't think it does they should honour it. We got DTD so 3 gift sets total £3 if I remember correctly

also saw this in my store today with the sticker still on and they had the baby bouncer aswell with sticker on @ £17.50 and also a baby lie on mat thing, Turtle design? was stickered half price at £6.50.

    Didn't buy any though :o

They are the 3 things I have heard about all going though at full price, although when I found the baby bouncer it actually scanned at £8.75. So best to check on scanner first if you've got one, or be prepared to return item if t scans correctly. hth:)

Had an annoying time trying to get a refund today. Brought a £4.99 tv bracket from a store 10 miles away few days ago and once home i noticed there were no fittings with it. Well, i went to my local for a refund and the Guy literally accused me of taking the screws out  and said he would exchange only otherwise I would have to take it back to the store i bought it from. It felt as thought he was making it up as he went along, i can't see why i need to travel all that way when they are all the same and i have a receipt. He even refused to call the store, OH and the manager saying he wasn't available.

Now i will need to make a 10 mile trip just to get a refund for £4.99, surely this is out of order and i should be entitled to some sort of credit for their mistake? Does any one have a link where i could contact HO or a phone number? Thanks

On the plus side i did managed to find 22p pasta, some 4p grumpy socks (5052320387021) :D and 50p bradwells cherry ice cream (5025001006122) hidden amongst the other flavors :)

I would defo be emailing philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com enlightening him about you most abyssmal customer service experience!

Tesco is defined by trading standards as a 'chain store' and as such you do not have to make a 10 mile trip anywhere just to get a refund.

This has just reminded me..... today in B*ck*on they had loads of different gift sets on a stand in the centre aisle of the store with a great big 3 for 2 sign on top of the stand. (Should just point out though that there was an SA and a customer standing there having a conversation so it may well have been taken down after).

Anyway, in other news .......... I got some scarves! :j:j I managed to find 3 different scarves (sure these have all been posted on here but will check back later) all with SS11 on them and scanning at 4p. There was also another one SS11 which scanned at full price

I also managed to get some more children's bubble lanyards (cars/disney princess/toy story) scanning at 20p. Thought these were long gone tbh but they were hanging on a clip strip with £1 at the top so does show that things do reappear after a while :)

I know but i get more than my fair share of bargains in said store so will just ring ho when they open and complain! Cs are pretty nice to me now so im keepig it that way and saving itbfor a biggie:rotfl:

  • I really don't think they have an argument with the gift sets - the ad clearly states that if you buy 3, you get the cheapest 1 free. There is no mention of 'unless we have another offer that overlaps...' and no mention of price at all.
If you're not scared, you're not paying attention
