  • Evening,

Just back from my DS's parents evening (he is 7).

Pleased to report that he is an absolute star (takes after his mam of course), doing brilliantly, not a bad word was said, and apparently he is being prepared for key stage 2 and 3 (have no idea what this is, it may be a lobotomy, but it sounded good, so nodded and agreed). Also pleased to report me and ex managed to survive without any visible injuries (ha ha ha ha), and he was suitably amenable and pleasant enough for me to warrant giving him 2 treasured 1p trays :)

Its almost a shame that he'll turn into nightmare ex within a week (pleasant ex never lasts), and i'll have to nick the trays back lol.

Anyway, if we're getting into regional tag teams, is there anyone else in Northwest (a**rington to be precise). I know I have bumped into a couple of lurkers, but feel free to pm, and we can compare note/stash bargains etc :)

Oh I managed to get the 2 x light striker thingys but being a DTD virgin, I paid by card with the last of my money. Competely forgot the refund wont show straightaway, so thats me over my overdraft....not as good a deal as it could have been :S lol

hey ho, live and learn x
  • I had this in Chesterfield on the barbie car about a month ago. HTH

    I

no wonder theres a shelf full of bakugans and the light guns with stickers in chezzie then too difficult to get them past when a message is flashing up on the screen to check the price, plus the team of trouts that work on the cs

I see on HUKDs (thanks to nicster08) that Ts are doing B1G2F on Kipling mince pies tomorrow. That means 3 boxes for £2.22. Now can anyone tell me how much one box was being sold for last week?

They really are a shower of barstewards with all this price hiking. I don't care if £2.22 for 18 mince pies is a good price, it's the price hikes that take the biscuit. Before I joined this site I couldn't have told you how much stuff cost but because of careful shopping I know that's a 25% price hike for this 'deal'.
I've just had a moan about same thing Caz it takes the !!!!!!.

Evening all. I'm gutted with my Mr T shopping today. Travelled to an Extra (Wath-Upon-Dearne),Tried to get the pearl/double effect deodorant

    Rebecca x

 Another Rebecca in Wath...do I know you? Sorry I had the last 2 pearl deo yesterday! The scanner in clothing got taken out of action about 4 weeks ago as people were leaving stuff everywhere!

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

    Good evening all..

It was me that posted about the dressing gowns, and where they were, and that i was going back the next day to get one.... when i returned.. they had all gone.... the person i was talking to on here said they would leave me one if they got there before me, but neither of us managed to get one... i did ask on here if it was anyone.. but no reply.. so im guessing, it was either a lurker, an oppertunist who took advantage (in my oppinion) or a Trout who reads these threads..... Yes, i made the mistake of mentioning which store these were in... but only because im good natured and thought it would help others..... Some people are clearly just out for themselves....

Also, it was me who found the boys rain Macs - The ones with the Bugs on... i did mention that it was only the Bugs ones and NOT the aliens ones.... someone then said that they got the alien ones cheap... i then went back to Ts to confirm for everyone, but the Alien ones are deffo full price.

Anyway - Onto MY day today.... Went to Du^ley store today, OH spotted the Bacugan things ( hes getting quite good at this now! lol ) - He baught and paid the full price for it and then approached the CS desk to get his DTD - he was sooooo pleased hes spotted his first DTD as we were thinking about getting this for our DS but would never pay the full £40.00 for it!!!!

anyway, the CS desk point blank refused to give him DTD, there was also another gentleman there on the Phone to HO regarding the same item..... so if that was you - Hello!!! - Even after the other man speaking to head office, they still refused to get DTD... so in the end, OH got a refund as we really couldnt afford the full price for this... they wouldnt even honour the Half price amount!!! Yes it was fully stickered up!!!

Then, onto the Horrible ****** store - Found a lovely PlayGym thingy for our new arrival due in a couple of months - it was stickered up also at £25.00 i think..... we were sooo pleased with this, would be happy to pay the £25.00, or the higher price... wasnt bothered either way... anyway, it DID go through at £42.50 or something along those lines.. so off we trundle to CS..... As soon as we got there, the CS lady took our receipt and refused to give any money back again.. said that she would give a refund... took the item, gave us our money back... All before we even had chance to say anything!!!!!! we werent even allowed to keep our receipt with all our other purchases on it....!!!!!! - Called HO immediately, as she wasnt exactly discreet about everything, shouting at the top of her voice.. making us look like we had done something wrong!!!!! sooo angry... HO said that they would sort it and get the manager to call us... Still no call back yet though... so a few hours later, we called HO again... they said that the manager was ment to have called us........ Well, they havent!!!!!!! - I wouldnt even mind, but we actually wanted these items, but were refused to buy them!!! so gutted as it was so pretty and know our baby girl would love them!!!

anyway, gonna stop moaning now, have a cuppa and catch up with some more of the thread. xx

OMG that's soo  The only time a manager refused dtd I phoned HO there and then and he was told to give me dtd :D

I had no problems with dtd last night and no message was up on the SA's till screen... strange... I think I have to go and research tomorrow... different store of course!

  • Hi
This is my first post so I am excited...and nervous!
I have read this a few times in the past but I have never tried anything. I was reading it the other day, just before I went shopping and saw the 1p trays, my sis thought I was mad but I picked some up to try and it worked!! So I have decided to join and am already addicted!!
Thanks to whoever posted about the trays and I hope I can contribute something soon

I can't believe there are 4p bags out there, dare I ask are they tagged?
