    Ok really off topic.....

I bought some mincemeat with a USE BY of the 3rd. Forgot about it until now and i've just got it out of the fridge and it smells ok. Its gone that brown colour but thats just due to light hitting it so i'm fine with that.

What do we think.... dare I make lasagne?? Normally I will give out of date stuff to the dogs if its giving off any odour but this just smells meaty... it is five days past its sell by though:eek:

We only eat organic meat so its not cheap, £4 to throw away is a lot!

Personally, I would use it and cook it well.

I wouldn't have done at one time, but having seen a programme where Jonathan Maitland spent 2 weeks eating out of date food, he suffered no ills.

Maybe wouldn't give it to young or elderley, but it would kill me throwing it away at £4 a pack!

So two against one on votes.... i'm going to cook it!!

I keep sniffing it trying to find a hint of 'offness' but nothing.

    Thanks guys!

Same here, if it smells ok I'd cook it.
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

I have been Tesco hunting with other people and it really doesn't work.
I sometimes go back over the same things, or walk down the same aisle several times and they cannot understand my jumbled brain as I remember things!!
Hi to any other South Essex locals, still getting 4p things so still a happy bunny.
oooh, nearly forgot ..... . 4p item.... pack of three ladies socks, top pair have butterflies on a black background, easy to spot.

welcome pinkroo  and congrats on your first find:T. Do you have any more info on the hair bits by any chance, my friends dd would love some of these for xmas. thanks:)

Hi, they have 1/2 price stickers on, meaning they should be £1.50 each, every different one in the range was 4p. As thick as I sound, how do I upload a piccy on here? I got a good selection for stocking fillers. :)

Bit early, has anyone tried any gift sets yet?

Might try and go on way to work. Trouble is, I cant then report until lunch time.

Tried the Lynx this morning, SEL £5.00, Scanned at £3.00. All were Africa. 2 boxes came up at £6.00, added third and came up at £9.00.

Some of the other gifts sets had the correct reduced SEL. No signs left for 3 for 2.

Not had chance to read back yet if anyone has had any success.

Thanks wendy, I could do with some new socks a few of mine have holes in :( unlike DH who has some nice new ones for 4p. I was wondering if any of the ladies ones were scanning 4p too. :)
